The Hollow Cabin
The Hollow is nestled on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest in the hollow on the eastern side of the ridge of our property. Most of the cabin is built into a hill, giving it a natural living roof.
The Hollow is, for the most part, exactly the same as The Cove, maintaining our original design with a few adjustments working with the shape of the land and interior additions, such as the kitchen peninsula under an arched wall. Of course, all the amenities are the same, including the hot tub on the covered private patio outside the bedroom, luxurious robes, fresh whole bean coffee.
With the fully equipped kitchen, you can enjoy a romantic dinner at the beautiful bar height table in the alcove, or savor a glass of wine at the peninsula where you can see the fireplace, TV, and catch glimpses of the woods and wildlife through the windows.
Walk through the round door into luxurious, uncluttered simplicity, and let the rest of the world disappear. Bonus – walking distance to Blue Sky Vineyard.

with the 9 foot curved ceilings, I run my hands along the rich and elegant wainscot, letting the gentle flow of the house bring serenity to my mind. The fireplace is already telling stories of proposals, laughter, new loves, and the rekindling of old loves. The natural glow from the sun tunnels gently touches the walls while the whimsical sconces whisper promises of romance and soft music. My eye is continuously drawn to the unique windows that provide glimpses of the woodland, occasionally privileging me with its inhabitants. Today, a doe appears with her two yearlings; the squirrels unbothered. Outside the bedroom door, the towering patio brick wall evokes thoughts of a luxurious private soak in the exquisite hot tub, enveloped in soft, warm bubbles on a cold winter’s night; the forest’s night time song providing a magical, mysterious backdrop. Pets allowed at The Cove and The French Creole only.
Reservations require 50% of rental amount. Ensure your reservation using our secure online booking calendar. The remaining balance will be charged 45 days before arrival date to the credit card on file.
Access to your cabin will come in a check-in email about two to three weeks before your arrival.
By reserving one of our cabins, you agree to and abide by the terms and conditions of our rental and cancellation agreement. (We highly recommend cancellation insurance for peace of mind. Insure My Trip is one option.) Prices and minimum stays subject to change.
